(VDO) Victorian Default offer.

Some big changes came into effect from 1 July 2019. It’s now much easier to understand if you’re on the best energy plan and how your plan compares to offers from other retailers. From July 1 2019 every Victorian household and small businesses is able to ask for a default offer from their current electricity retailer.

What is the VDO & what does it mean for you?

The Victorian Default offer (VDO) aims to make electricity more affordable for Victorians. If you’re a 1st Energy home or small business customer the default price, which differs across various customer types, is available to you as a ‘standing offer’.

The Victorian Default Offer is an independently set electricity offer that you can switch to or use to check if you’re getting value for money on your electricity bills.
